One side:  In the early 1900s, Ling gymnastic movements traveled from Sweden to the Ottoman Empire with the teachings of Selim Sirri Tarcan.  Some of these movements passed on to his daughter Azade who incorporated Pilates, Yoga, and Physical Therapy to create her original practice.

Side two:  When Swedish Ling gymnastics passed borders, form remained but original meaning was emptied and transformed.  As transcultural change continues, our dream is that by collaborating with and supporting each other, women will gain strength.
