Your Role:We are seeking an experienced Masonry Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, estimating, and managing assigned projects and clients. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure that project scopes are well-defined and accurately priced.If you have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of masonry construction, and the ability to deliver accurate and competitive bids—this is your opportunity to build a lasting career with us. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Estimation and Cost Analysis:

  • Review project plans, RFP’s, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work, materials required, and project timeline.
  • Perform accurate takeoffs for CMU, brick, stone, and accessories using estimating software.
  • Creating detailed cost proposals and bids for masonry projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Calculate material costs, labor costs, equipment expenses, and overheads to prepare comprehensive project estimates
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for commercial and multifamily projects.
  • Obtain quotes with material suppliers, subcontractors, and other service providers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through value engineering techniques while maintaining project requirements and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure constructability and accurate labor production rates.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding up-to-date material pricing and availability.
  • Track and document bid opportunities, submitted proposals, and awarded jobs.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed to assess conditions and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, owners, and design teams to clarify project needs and value-engineering options.
  • Update all reporting and tracking requirements for all projects estimated.
  • Work with clients on their invitations to bid, bid schedule, change orders, and overall project related requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in masonry estimating (CMU, brick, stone).
  • Strong understanding of masonry construction techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  • Must be confident leading estimates of varying sizes and delivery methods (competitive bid, conceptual, design-build, and negotiated). Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles. General familiarity of unit pricing for scope of work.
  • Proven, solution-oriented mindset when tackling difficult situations.
  • Strong sales and customer service experience required.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the estimating process.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
