HPC-Industrial , powered by Clean Harbors, in Wynnewood, OK, is looking for an Equipment Operator to join their safety conscious team! This team member is responsible for the safe and successful execution of jobs across all service lines and various other responsibilities. The Equipment Operator serves as a representative of HPC-Industrial in creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions; 
  • \n
  • Hands-on operation, when required, of manual and automated hydroblasting equipment; 
  • \n
  • Operation of special equipment, such as Ultra High Pressure pumps; 
  • \n
  • Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or any specialized hydroblasting and/or chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job; 
  • \n
  • May be required to examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications; 
  • \n
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job; 
  • \n
  • Perform any and all duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines and jet rodders; 
  • \n
  • Direct a crew of vacuum technicians; 
  • \n
  • Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations; 
  • \n
  • Completes pre and post trip inspections, driver’s logs and complies with all other vehicle policy and DOT requirements; 
  • \n
  • Loading and unloading hoses; 
  • \n
  • Unload vacuum truck at the dump site; 
  • \n
  • Provide general maintenance in the field; 
  • \n
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:  

\n \n

\n

    \n
  • Execute a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine in order to allow complete movement of the head and neck; 
  • \n
  • Must be able to hold and operate with both hands a double trigger hydroblast shotgun and other hydroblast equipment; 
  • \n
  • Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary platforms up to heights of 200 feet; 
  • \n
  • Tolerate and function in confined spaces of a minimum of five (5) foot inside diameter; 
  • \n
  • Hold the back thrust of 50lbs. on a straight 66” pipe for a minimum of one (1) hour; 
  • \n
  • Must be physically capable of using both negative pressure and air supplied respirators; 
  • \n
  • Duties include driving heavy equipment for long periods; 
  • \n
  • Must be able to wear protective clothing and/or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, nomex coveralls, a back belt, slickers, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask and escape pack, and a hard hat; 
  • \n
  • Work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+degree Fahrenheit, 98% humidity; and sub-zero weather conditions) relative to geographic location; 
  • \n
  • Exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust and highly pressurized fluids. (A respirator will be provided when required.); 
  • \n
  • Noise levels exceed 85 dBA (hearing protection is provided and required).

  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs; 
  • \n
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations; 
  • \n
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A or B and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business; 
  • \n
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers; 
  • \n
  • Experience operating a vacuum truck. Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device; 
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums. 
  • \n
