Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

Location: New York, NY 10004

Shift: 40Hrs per week, Mon-Fri, 9a-5p

Contract Date: 10/27/2025 - 12/27/2025 with Strong Possibility of Extension

Schedule Notes:

• Seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience in credentialing, particularly those familiar with the OPPE/FPPE process. Preference for candidates with MD Stat experience and CPMSM or CPCS certification.
• The Credentialing Specialist will play a key role in facilitating the Peer Review, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) functions using MD Stat Peer Review software.
• This position also involves assigning performance cards and reviewers in MD Stat, as well as analyzing, extracting, and reporting on data.
• Applicants should have a strong understanding of the interpretation and compliance requirements with relevant accrediting and regulatory agencies and be knowledgeable about the statutes and laws related to credentialing.

Duties:

• Facilitate all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointments, reappointments, credential audits, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other providers as outlined in corporate policy and hospital bylaws.
• Utilize MDStaff credentialing software to monitor all credentialing and background checks, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies while developing a solid knowledge base of relevant credentialing statutes and laws.
• This is an onsite position; remote work is not an option.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree is required.
