The Custodian I/II position is responsible for providing custodial services for all College buildings. Dedicated to assuring proper hygiene compliance and the cleanliness of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, administrative offices, auditoriums, etc.
There will be (4) overnight, 11pm - 7am shifts and (1) shift that will work 7am - 3pm (3) weekdays and Saturday and Sunday.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum one year of custodial experience required. Ability to read, write and follow simple directions. Demonstrated ability to work under the following conditions and meet the following physical requirements: Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8 hour shift. Ability to work outdoors in varied weather condition, such as heat, cold, rain, snowand slippery conditions. Ability to work on uneven surfaces. Ability to utilize lifts, ladders and/or scaffolding to work at elevated heights. Demonstrated ability to professionally assist and interact with culturally diverse students, faculty, staff and the public.Preferred Qualifications:
Proven record of attendance and reliability.
Ability and willingness to be flexible concerning work location, assignments, hours and shifts. Demonstrated ability to use heavy custodial equipment, including buffers and vacuums, and move furniture with or without reasonable accommodations.
