As Director of Educational Accreditation and Workforce Programs, you will lead the strategic and operational management of the organization’s accreditation framework for secondary, postsecondary, and apprenticeship-based culinary education programs. This includes ensuring compliance with CHEA and USDOL standards, supporting institutional partners, advancing quality career pathway education, and serving as the staff liaison to the Accreditation Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction and administration of accreditation programs for secondary, post-secondary, and apprenticeship models
  • Oversee CHEA-recognized accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with national standards
  • Direct U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) compliance and guidance for apprenticeship program recognition
  • Serve as primary staff liaison to the Accreditation Commission and subcommittees
  • Develop and manage accreditation application, review, and site visit procedures
  • Advise schools and programs on accreditation and reaccreditation processes
  • Manage budgets for accreditation and workforce development programs
  • Collaborate with educational institutions, workforce organizations, and stakeholders to promote accredited programs
  • Support continuous improvement through policy updates, quality assurance, and data evaluation
  • Supervise and develop internal accreditation staff
  • Represent the organization in external meetings and presentations on accreditation and workforce education
  • Oversee submissions to CHEA and other regulatory bodies
  • Ensure prompt, professional responses to accreditation-related inquiries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or CAE preferred
  • Culinary or foodservice industry experience strongly preferred
  • Leadership experience at an accredited secondary or post-secondary school or registered apprenticeship sponsor
  • 5+ years in culinary education, workforce development, or accreditation
  • Proven experience with accreditation processes
  • Knowledge of CHEA standards and USDOL apprenticeship guidelines
  • Deep understanding of culinary education and CTE trends
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, and collaboration
  • Strong writing, planning, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in nonprofit, educational association, or workforce settings
  • Supportive, empowering leadership style
  • Spanish language proficiency a plus
  • Self-starter with a team-oriented, customer-focused, and proactive mindset
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and business-savvy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and social media tools
  • Must have valid Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel

Compensation

  • Salary: $80,000 - $95,000
