We are seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Furniture Designer to join our luxury furniture brand. The ideal candidate will possess a refined design sensibility and a deep understanding of furniture craftsmanship. This role demands the ability to conceptualize and design bespoke, innovative pieces while producing meticulous furniture drawings. The designer will work closely with manufacturers, resolving complex design and structural challenges, while cultivating meaningful relationships with new suppliers to ensure the exceptional quality and uniqueness of each creation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design innovative and unique furniture pieces for luxury residential and hospitality projects.
· Create detailed drawings and specifications for furniture production, ensuring design integrity and feasibility.
· Collaborate closely with furniture manufacturers to ensure accurate production and timely delivery.
· Troubleshoot and address design and structural issues during the production process.
· Travel to meet with potential and existing manufacturers, fostering relationships and exploring new production opportunities.
· Stay current with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques to push the boundaries of design.
· Build and maintain strong partnerships with manufacturers to ensure the highest quality craftsmanship.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
· Proven experience in designing and producing luxury furniture pieces.
· Strong knowledge of furniture construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
· Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
· Ability to travel as needed and build strong relationships with manufacturers.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
