RMC is hiring a Help Desk Technician (0800-1600 day shift) in Dahlgren, VA.

The selected applicant will be responsible for:

• Maintaining a professional relationship with all customers and clients in a very busy call center environment.
• Providing technical support by responding to and resolving end-user problems.
• Identify, research and resolve technical problems at the Tier 1 level of responsibility.
• Documenting internal procedures.
• Assisting with the onboarding of new users.
• Supporting the maintenance of multiple classrooms including reconfiguring furniture layouts, cabling, general upkeep.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.

Requirements

• One (1) year of Systems Administration and/or IT Help Desk Experience.
• Effective use of Help Desk tracking and ticketing system(s); tracking technical issues using ServiceNow and other ticketing systems; maintaining historical records and related documentation to ensure timely resolution.
• Diagnose data communications problems using specialized tools, test equipment and software utilities.
• Installation and configuration of new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Certification Requirements:

• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) is required. Additional Training may be required to be completed within 90 days of start.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicants selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $52,00 to $75,000 (annually).
