Radiology Manager at Baylor Orthopedic and Spine Hospital at Arlington Leadership responsibilities for Outpatient and OR Radiology operations, serving as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) per state regulations. Day‑to‑day clinical leadership in all department service areas, ensuring staffing and scheduling meet demands at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and the Outpatient Center. Collegial work with radiology services leaders and support of the department director to manage OR and Outpatient functions. Oversee practice, competency, and clinical validation of radiology staff. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology. Licensure/Certification Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MR certificate. Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License. Current BLS certification. Specific Job Experience Two to five years of experience in a surgical/diagnostic setting. Extensive knowledge of modalities including C‑ARM, MRI, CT, X‑ray, and interventional radiology. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for corporations, including state and The Joint Commission standards. Management experience preferred. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Meet all radiologic technologist position competencies and responsibilities. Meet all responsibilities and requirements for Radiation Safety Officer per Title 25 Texas Administrative Code. Ensure appropriate staffing to meet census and acuity needs. Manage contracted services for patient care and equipment maintenance. Drive regulatory and compliance adherence at all times. Prepare staff schedules and manage equipment for operations. Round on surgeons and other physicians, ensuring that needs are met. Hold staff accountable for performance improvement initiatives. Prepare and submit clinical data reports for the facility and regulatory needs. Direct oversight of the hospital radiation safety program. Facilitate unit‑based shared governance, staff meetings, hospital committees, process improvement reporting, and department‑specific goals and objectives. Provide education and training to staff. Provide one‑on‑one remediation as needed. Cover for the department director as requested. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational habits. Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet unit needs. Ability to utilize an electronic healthcare record for patient documentation.
