Job DescriptionCareer Level: Hourly - 10 Starting Pay: $31.50 - $44.00 / hrDepartment: Maintenance Schedule: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM (M-F). Hours/Days may vary.Position Summary: Electronics Technicians apply advanced technical knowledge to design, purchase, install, program and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and computerized control systems in the facility. This position reports to: Ian Anderson - Superintendent of Maintenance and Engineering.Responsibilities & Duties:Support plant Quality, high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in QRMP, Quality Management Systems and plant productivity programsSupport General Plant Electrical, Maintenance, and Preventative Maintenance needs.Troubleshoot electrical equipment, maintain, and improve electrical control systems, and complete work orders.Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance/Production Leadership, any corrective electrical/mechanical maintenance required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality.Lead in establishing predictive electrical maintenance initiatives for focused lines in the department. Lead efforts to develop / enhance PM's & troubleshooting guides as assigned by Manager/Coordinator for focused department.Utilize the Maintenance system to document activities and to enter time daily. Ensures documentation is accurately completed using Quality Management System guidelines.Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design through the use of team concept. Support project planning and execution. Communicate with other shifts to ensure coordination of all maintenance efforts on assigned equipment and effectively operate as part of a team.Conform to Rochelle's policies and procedures including, but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Lock Out/Tag Out, HACCP check points, Quality Standards, Fall Protection, Hot Work, OSHA Regulations, and all othersManagement reserves the right, as it deems necessary to assign jobs on a temporary basis in any manner that supports efficient plant operations.Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of two years industrial electronics training and two years industrial controls experience or four years of industrial controls experience.Must be able to perform and train self/others in basic electrical and mechanical skills, mechanical repairs and overhauls, maintenance systems, computer skills, new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance, problem solving/troubleshooting, etc. where skills are not at the required level.Must be able to program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC's, PanelView's, Servos and related control networks.Demonstrate successful application of problem-solving techniques, effective communication and planning.Ascend/Descend stairs and ladders throughout shiftLift up to 50 pounds, crawl over, under and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties.Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, disassemble and reassemble equipment, operate a computer and other standard office equipmentVision is adequate to manipulate equipment controls, complete paperwork, utilize computers, and have depth perception.Knowledge of PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers).Work weekends when plant enters busy season and when needed.Apply at Information:Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Rochelle Foods Team!
