Small Wheel Loader Operator

JOB SUMMARY: 

Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy/agricultural equipment that may include, but is not limited to; small frontend loader. Will load customers with bulk materials and will also manually load customers with bagged materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Always operate equipment in a safe manner 
• Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination. 
• Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public. 
• Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment. 
• Maintain operation records. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

• Communication skills – verbal and written. 
• Customer service skills
• Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment safely. 
• Ability to perform basic math. 
• Mechanical aptitude 
• Ability to follow directions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) 
• Valid Drivers’ License 
• Class A CDL a plus, not required. 
• Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operator work experience preferred. 
• Clean MVR

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, lifting to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing 
• The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions: Limited effective protection from weather. 
• The employee is subject to atmospheric conditions. 
• The employee is subject to hazards: Including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles.
• This position requires overtime.
