Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and certified Mammography Technologist for an evening shift position within a leading acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both 2D and 3D mammography, with experience operating Hologic equipment. Biopsy experience is a plus but not required. This role plays a critical part in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services as part of a women’s imaging team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures using Hologic 2D and 3D digital mammography systems
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process
• Accurately position patients and select appropriate techniques for optimal image quality
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using Epic charting system
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient patient care
• Prepare and maintain imaging equipment and report malfunctions as needed
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
• Assist with stereotactic and/or ultrasound-guided breast biopsies if qualified
• Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in mammography
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (ARRT M)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Proficiency with Hologic imaging systems (2D/3D)
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
