Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for leading a team responsible for Warehouse functions included but not limited to Order Fulfillment, Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control and Cylinder Tracking. This includes coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, inventory maintenance, oversight of safety policies and initiatives, and assisting in training for new and existing associates at Hudson locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Lead shipping team with training, support, and oversight. • Fill in when needed for various shipping task, including lifting, climbing and standing. • Assist Manager in timely completion of monthly inventory reconciliation and documentation. • Manage Shipping and Receiving using third-party software, and coordination with multiple third-party vendors. • Review transactional data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking output. • Complete general clerical duties and supporting other teams with various administrative tasks. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. • Provide direct manager with daily reports on throughput and production. • Audit existing shipping processes for deficiencies and collaborate with direct management for solutions and/or enhancements. • Operate a forklift, moving and stacking product and supplying product to all departments for processing. Required Skills and Experience: • 2-3 years working in a warehouse environment with a record of increasing responsibilities. • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Dynamics, RHS, and third-party software. • Ability to lead a team, provide training, and ensure proper oversight to shipping team. • Within 6 months of hire - DOT Hazmat & Transportation Security Certification • Within 6 months of hire – Complete Six Sigma White belt training and establish a 3-year timeline to complete the progressive steps of Six Sigma training, culminating in Six Sigma Black Belt certification • Certified to operate a forklift.
Physical Requirements: Occasional
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds from the ground to your waist
• Ability to climb up and down 6-foot vertical ladders
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
Education and Experience: • High School diploma or GED required; Associates and/or bachelor’s degree preferred.
