Life is about continual loss, but from the rubble, another rises. As we look outside from the modern İMÇ structure (1960), where the artist initiative, 5533, (2007-present) is housed, among the remains of past eras we can see the Roman Valens Aqueduct built between 368 and 373; the Süleymaniye Mosque built between 1550 and 1557, and the Seb Sefa Hatun Mosque finished in 1787.  Many modern buildings in Istanbul are now being demolished and replaced by gigantic shopping centers, ports, and skyscrapers symbolizing the 21st century.  At the present, İMÇ stands.
