About the Role

We are seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Multiple Locations: North Highlands

M-F 8am-5pm

Pay $22.64/hr

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, families, and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner
• Answer incoming calls (up to 100 inquiries daily) and assist with scheduling
• Manage dentist and hygienist schedules, confirming and updating appointments
• Verify insurance and patient eligibility
• Maintain office appearance and confirm daily front desk tasks are completed
• Schedule and manage appointments using NextGen
• Order office supplies and manage inventory
• Organize dental records and prepare documentation for referrals and insurance
• Collect and process payments prior to appointments
• Accurately update patient records, including medical and personal information
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, copying, and shredding
• Assist with closing duties and back-office support as needed
• Occasional travel to nearby centers may be required to provide coverage when staff are out or during peak needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Dental Assisting Certificate preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in a dental office (or equivalent education/experience)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Additional language fluency preferred
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; database experience a plus
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with HIPAA standards and confidentiality requirements
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel when needed
