As a step towards sustainability, Beymen, a Turkish department store, gave Atakan fabric remnants from their textile factory to recycle into artwork. The artist emphasized that rather than continually producing new objects to further blight the environment and feed garbage dumps, recycling, reusing, repairing must become second nature.
