Shortly after experiencing a serious automobile accident on a steep road overlooking a cliff, the artist painted, Accident at Muğla.
After the 2023 devastating earthquake in Turkey, the artist transformed the images of the watercolor painting into a cloth collage. Even when we experience the perils of our environment, we must remember that the earth we inhabit is sometimes brutal, but oh so beautiful. It deserves our respect.
