While participating in a 2005 workshop at Mersin University, a student who worked at night as a midwife and attended university art classes during the day, agreed to help Atakan with her project of collecting women’s stories about giving birth. This pseudo-documentary film resulted from their visits to the maternity ward at Mersin government hospital.
