In the mid 1990s Atakan wrote a poem entitled And that explained her artistic stance that emphasizes the importances of relationships. In a sense, her was attempting to become a conjunction. These poem has followed her throughout her career and remains a valid statement. In 1999 after appearing as a wall sculpture, in 2007 it became a film. After translating it into numerous languages, in 2014 she used it in a work entitled Sacred Solitude Cards and now she has embroidered it onto a ready-made Suzani fabric dated 1979.
