Being a woman requires juggling skills to be able to maneuver in the patriarchic
competitive materialistic world while remaining true to a more diverse, spiritual,
caring and collaborative female stance. Since Atakan’s work generally contains
autobiographical elements, one might also speculate that she is referring to living
between two cultures.
