My Wall
    My Wall

    Film text
    2004

I don’t see the alternative to the left.
    I don’t see the door.

I don’t see the alternative to the right.
    I don’t see the door.

Sometimes my head feels split from my body.
And it floats up and away

    I only see the wall
    From afar through a window.

    From afar into the country.
Always afar or behind a fence.

    Never inside
    Always outside.

    Even the sea
    is a wall.

    Even a beautiful view
    is a wall.

    I separate
But can never quite be two.

I look at the sunset and
    Wish I was just one

I don’t want to be two.
I want to be just one.

I don’t want my head to separate
    Or feel it separates.

    I want to be one,
    But not from afar.

    To be in
To be . To be in.
