I Am Not Who You Say I Am
I am not who you say I am

From the moment we are born, society tries to mold us and tell us who we are. Only at this stage in my life, can I accept that I am not who I am told to be. In a private place of my own surrounded by gender related objects, I study images and reject each. None of these, neither the a description of who I should be as taught by my mother, nor the dogma of the church I grew up in, nor the beliefs behind the flag of the country where I was born, nor the beliefs of the place I adopted, nor the reflection of my physical being in a mirror, describe who I am.
