As a child in the 1950s the artist watched a television series, “Father Knows Best”. Fifty years later she bought the series on e-bay from someone who had made VHS copies of re-runs in the 1980s. From the films, she chose the program, ‘Betty, Girl Engineer’, that focused on why a woman cannot be an engineer.
