This digital print contains photographs of the artist taken from 1947 through 2000. The past is only memory and the future is only speculation. Experience and life cannot be captured or frozen. Only “Now” exists. To quote Susan Sontag, “To take a photograph is to participate in another person or thing’s mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”
