2004
One day in 2004, three artists documented their walk from Tophane to Eyüp in Istanbul. During their walk along the Golden Horn and surrounding communities, they passed through cemeteries, slums, and areas of the city in which they felt themselves to be strangers. At the end of their journey on the hill overlooking the city at the famous Pierre Lote Cafe, they felt melancholy for a place they felt they were losing and for the mothers and grandmothers, their anchors and compasses that they had already lost.
